About the store
Woodsey’s Wheels was founded by Paul Woods in 1988 and started out as a small shop with a few bikes and an adjoining service centre. These days the shop is a retail institution in Woolgoolga after more than 30 years in business. The showroom has grown to display over 125 bikes and the workshop is modern and well appointed. The service centre is capable of performing all types of repairs on both pedal and electric bicycles. As well as the bicycle business we also cater for skate and scooter, stocking leading brands in each and offering separate display areas for both.
All of the staff at Woodsey’s ride and are passionate about bikes. This inspires us to search out the very best product to give you the very best ride experience. Whether it is on the road, on the dirt or just for fun, we have you covered. Kids don’t miss out either and we have a very thorough range for the young riders and we take the time to make sure the bike is a perfect fit.
With the Wedding Bells forest on our doorstep we have some world class mountain biking in our backyard and we know the trail network inside out. We are a driving force behind the Woolgoolga MTB Festival and love nothing more than introducing new riders to the thrill of mountain biking. We are not a chain store with corporate interests but are family owned and contribute to many groups and clubs in our area.
We pride ourselves on having passion for our products, a huge range and giving first class service.

Meet The Team
Scott has worked in the adventure industry for almost his entire working life. A gap year to Whistler in 1989 turned into a decade of working in the ski industry. This period saw the real growth in Mountain Biking and laid the foundations for the sport we know today. Spring in the ski resorts was always a time to get the bikes out and Scott enjoyed many rides in North American and European mountain ranges.
After 20 successive winters teaching skiing he retired from the ski industry and started work for Bell helmets. For the next 12 years Scott worked in the bicycle wholesale business and spent much of that time as a brand manager. This exposed him to the core of the bike business and allowed extensive travel to riding hotspots and all major international trade shows. When the opportunity came to buy Woodsey’s Wheels he knew it would be the perfect fit and took over the business in 2014. Since then the shop has transformed into a major bicycle retail operation.
Today Scott lives locally with his wife and two boys who all share his passion for riding. Drop by and say hello and see why Woodsey’s Wheels has become such a hub of riding culture.
Mechanic & Sales
Jackson took up mountain biking in 2011 in his hometown of Buninyong, Victoria. Being in the automotive industry since finishing high school in 2007, he has always had a keen interest in all things with wheels. Jackson also spent 15 months living in Mumbai India. Here he took up road cycling and really started to commit to a full time cycling lifestyle where he took on mentor roles to local riders who didn’t have much knowledge of bike setup and cycling technique, while also competing in long distance road events.
Jackson moved to Coffs Harbour in 2015 where he was lucky enough to get a job at Woodsey’s Wheels as a bicycle mechanic, he is truly humbled to be allowed to work in a field that is his passion which has also taken him to some of the world’s best mountain biking destinations like Whistler, Cananda and Rotorua, New Zealand. Although these places are amazing Jack still loves riding in Coffs Harbour and is excited about the growth of the sport in the area.
Woodseys Wheels is very much part of not only the Woolgoolga community but part of the wider Coffs Coast cycling community.
